I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Here is my story: -

In March 2018 my family was devastated by the loss of my auntie Maureen, or 'Maw' as I affectionately called her. She was the matriarch, the back bone, the life and soul of our family unit. Her diagnosis alone was terrifying, losing her was unbearable. Like many families in this situation, we supported, cared and loved her for the 3 short months she battled this horrible disease.

I plan to run 5kms every day for 24 days, as every day 24 people are taken by this disease and 24 families left grieving the loss of their loved one. I am pushing myself with this challenge as I haven't run on such a scale in many years. I will be so very grateful if you can support me and help me reach my target to contribute to beating this awful disease.

Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. Please support me and help make a difference to pancreatic cancer.

5k a Day for 24 Days DONE

WELL there it is 💪👍 5k a day for 24 days......DONE!!! I've achieved what I set out to do & I've smashed a few PBs along the way. 
Physically I'm a tad battered, mentally I'm BUZZING 😂

I set a target of £300. To raise £1222 is so over & beyond what I ever thought I could raise. It's really over whelming to know that so many have supported me and donated to such a worthy charity. 

A huge heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who donated, who cheered me on & those who joined me to run as well, you're all amazing ❤️

DAY 18 3/4s DONE

3/4s COMPLETE 💪👍😁 RUN #18 today accompanied with my wee amazingly determined 5 yr old Kian, what a wee trooper!! 
The last couple runs have been sluggish, feeling the burn & general tiredness.......but with 6 runs to go & £1100 in the pot I'll muster on!! 
I got an all time PB with BIG thanks to my good friend Sue for pacing me to a cool 5k in 27.00 mins, so proud even if I did feel like vomitting halfway lol!!!
All the comments & support is such a help, it means a lot!! Keep sending the love people, 6 runs to go with Maw on my shoulder 😉♥️ #PCUK #doingitformaw

Day 12 HALFWAY!!!!

HALFWAY!!!!!!! 12 of 24 runs complete 🤗 had highs and lows but smashed it today at the halfway point.

Day 6 Check In

6 x 5k runs complete, first 4 runs were great 👍 started to feel the strain yesterday, plus the weather is not being my friend lol. Snow and wind is not easy to run in!!! 
Trying to fight through shin splint pain in my lower inside calf as well but I'll keep on keeping on 💪👊

First 5k done early 😊 tough enough, I used to love an early morning run but I found this tougher than I remember 😂 maybe lunchtime runs are more my thing lol!!! Anyways onwards I go......towards day 2 #formaw #pcuk

7 Day Countdown

Its 1 week, 7 days, 168 hours, 10080 minutes until my challenge starts. I've been doing some training, got some insoles for my achy legs and am mentally preparing myself. Planning to have a relaxing weekend and some light training before Thursday 1st April.
