I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Pancreatic Cancer runs in families. It runs in my family- my brother, grand father, aunty, uncles - and yet the medical model won't acknowledge this until it has don't the formal research.
Until the medical model acknowledges that it runs in families we won't have the means and funding for early diagnosis,l and early treatment. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis.
I'm running to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK so that they can conduct vital research and campaign for early diagnosis and treatment.
I decided I wanted to run the London Marathon for Pancreatic Cancer UK but didn't want to ask my loved ones to fund me to run something I'd normally do anyway. So I decided to run 52km from Tower Bridge to Hampton Court Bridge to fundraiser for the London Marra. Turns out London Marathon is full and so I'm running The London Bridges as my own, self-supported 52k run on December 14.
I'd love your support as I train to run the furthest I've ever run. I'd love your support to raise vital funds for this cause so close to my and my family's lives.
Thanks xx
