Kerri

Tragically, Kerri died last night. She will be hugely missed by many many people, and our thoughts are with her family.
Awareness and funding are very much needed for this devastating illness.

Been and gone and done it!

A huge thanks to everyone for their support. Especially, today, Adam who had his head shaved too, and Wes who took over shaving mine.
This is so important, as pancreatic cancer receives a pitifully small amount of funding and deserves much more.

Since my friend, Kerri, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, I have come to realise how little awareness there is around this vicious cancer compared to others.
When disaster strikes, you discover what people are made of. Kerri has proved to be made of exceptional stuff. She seems to be part-steel, part-rubber. Kerri is the strongest woman imaginable, but also like a rubber ball: you can't keep her down - she just keeps bouncing back.
When Kerri started chemotherapy I told her that, if she lost her hair, I'd shave my head to match. She hasn't actually lost hers, but I will be having my head shaved on Friday 24th, hoping to raise both awareness of, and money for, Pancreatic Cancer UK.
