Pancreatic fundraiser

I have decided to fundraise, as I have a very close family member who as recently been diagnosed  with this horrible disease.

I am  hoping to do as 12mile walk, a mile a day for 12 days, may not be consecutive days, but it will be completed by end if November plus a 12 hour sponsored silence.

I know money is tight at present, with Christmas around the corner  but if you could spare any money I’m sure the pancreatic cancer team would be very grateful, as would I.

I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and I’m fundraising to help drive research breakthroughs that could save lives.

Pancreatic cancer has been left behind. Survival rates have improved enormously for most other cancers. 

Sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Currently, more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months.

This is unacceptable. 

The funds I raise could support research into early detection and better treatments, and provide health professionals with the tools they need to spot patients’ symptoms earlier.
