Jane's brave the shave

By Jane Morris

I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

My mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on 17/12/2019 & passed away on 10/02/2020.  I am looking to raise £2000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK by braving the shave.

Did you know that pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer, with the lowest survival of all common cancers.  This is because it is diagnosed at a later stage & due to this, 7 in 10 people do not receive any active treatment, including surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy.  5 year survival of pancreatic cancer in the UK lags behind the rest of the world, ranking 29th out of 33 countries.

I would like to raise as much money possible for this charity who have a wide range of active research projects across the UK including early diagnosis and detection of pancreatic cancer, investigating molecular biology, and research aimed at developing new treatments for the disease.  Their website also has fantastic information that helped me & my family in the short time since mum was diagnosed.

Please help me by donating in memory of my mum Jean Morris.

Thank you x

It's the worse type of cancer. I lost my friend ages 40 within 8 weeks. I already do what I can to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer. Good luck and I hope one day there is an early diagnoses x
