In the UK, 24 people die from pancreatic cancer every day. Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival of all common cancers, with five-year survival less than 7%, most dying within months of diagnosis.
Sadly this was the cause with my lovely, special Dad, he really suffered and it was too late to help him. We hadn’t heard of it before and did not know the signs, we were helpless.
We want to raise as much as we can in his memory To improve early detection statistics and to get more people diagnosed in time for potentially curative surgery.
As part of challenge 24 we will be doing a 24km walk in a day and giving up our beloved tea and chocolate for 24 days!! (Anyone who knows me well will understand the tea struggle)
