Coffee morning

I’d just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped and supported this mornings coffee morning , cake sale and raffle particularly Debs, Di, Sue and the Packhorse team James and Louis.  There was an amazing turnout and everybody’s generosity was just incredible . We raised a staggering £812 ( including some of the donations listed) and I can’t thank you all enough .  
Today I heard  other people share their stories of similar loss of loved ones to this dreadful disease.  Let’s hope  we are a step nearer to fighting Pancreatic Cancer. Thank you again. 

Raising money for pancreatic cancer

Hi everyone, myself, Debs and Di, are raising money for pancreatic cancer having a coffee morning on February 7th . 
This is a cause close to my heart as my wonderful brother in law Alan passed away from Pancreatic cancer at the age of 50 within 2 months of his diagnosis . He was an incredible husband , father and friend who lived life to the full loving outdoor sports, time in the garden and time with his family  . We still can’t comprehend he is not with us and how cruel a diagnosis pancreatic cancer was taking him so quickly and so young.

Pancreatic cancer is a cancer that has the lowest survival rate of any of the 22 common cancers. Survival rates have not improved much over 40 years. It is very underfunded compared to many other cancers receiving less than 2% of the overall cancer research funding. 
Many families like Alan’s that will face this horrifying diagnosis need to be given a chance of hope and at least give them more time together which sadly is still rare. 
Please help in funding this cause and support us.
