I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Hi all, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2019 and had a Whipple procedure in the October. I am now having chemotherapy treatment and have 4 left of the 12 treatments. Thankfully my CT scan results came back clear, so plan to get fit and healthy again and raise money for charity doing more various things in the future. Thank you for any sponsorship you are happy to give. Recording my walks on Strava to help my fitness goals.

My Updates

Day 24

Today was the last day of my 24 challenge for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Managed to clock up a few more miles than required but for a great cause was lovely to do so. I still can't believe all the generous donations, so again I would like to thank you all for your donations. I will continue to exercise and gain further fitness after this kick start. Stay safe and well everyone.

Day 22

Hi all, didn't have a good day yesterday but thankfully don't have many feeling that bad. I still feel so blessed to have so many family and friends that have so generously donated. I thank you all and can't wait to see and catch up with as many of you as possible soon.

Day 20

Hello all, I cannot believe how generous you have all been and I want to thank you all for your donations. Some of you I can thank on WhatsApp and others I am slowly getting to grips with Facebook to also thank. It is lovely to hear from so many that I haven't seen for sometime now. Please all take care and stay safe and hope to bump into you when we can socialise again.

Day 11

I have thanked alot of people for their support during this journey of mine. I however cannot forget my girlfriend Lorraine, she has been an absolute rock for me and has cared and supported me through everything part of this. The better days and my very low days, we had spent 10 lovely days holidaying in Turkey prior to arriving home with me having yellow eyes. I was in hospital within 4 hours of getting home, she has been by my side all the way and nothing will ever be enough to say how much she means to me. I was diagnosed within 5 days and my world was turned upside down and inside out. She has listened to me, talked to me and cared for me the whole way throughout this time. I love her to bits and would never have been strong enough to get where I am today without her by my side. We all need loved ones, family and friends at times like these and I know even more now that I am blessed with so many.

Day 10

Hello everyone and thank you for all your generous donations. You have amazed me with you generosity. I'm going out again later today and hopefully will feel better than yesterday's walk, my steroids make me feel knackered around this time of my treatment. I will walk every day and slowly gain my fitness level back. I will do more challenge in the future to raise money for this great organisation, cycling events are what I look forward to. Again thank you to all you lovely people for your donations. I have come along way and still have further to go but my treatment ends at the end of June. I'm then looking forward to enjoying life again thanks to all who have supported me on my journey, I cannot thank the staff at Addenbrooke's enough and my amazing surgeon Mr Simon Harper and his team. All the best for now and stay safe and well xx

Day 1

I can't believe how very generous all my friends have been. 2.7 miles today, now connected to Strava to show miles walked on here.

24 day challenge

I have created this page as I am going to do a 24 day challenge by walking as many miles each day during this isolation period to help raise money for those who have helped me through my personal challenge and to kick start my fitness. The challenge is 1 mile a day for 24 days but I will do as many as possible to help my fitness and the charity.
