I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. Please support me and help make a difference to pancreatic cancer.
The daily UK death toll from the disease is 24; more than half of those diagnosed die within three months of diagnosis. Survival rates have barely improved over the last 50 years and remain the lowest of all common cancers. The five year survival rate is less than 7%.
I was diagnosed in December 2018 and count myself fortunate to have survived for nearly three years. I shall be walking the 24 kilometres (15 miles) along the towpath of the Bridgewater Canal from central Manchester to Leigh on 3rd December. I hope you will feel able to support Challenge 24 and donate to Pancreatic Cancer UK, a charity that funds research and helps those affected by the disease.
