Brave the shave on behalf of my late mum Maureen

By Gemma Howlett

I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

On the 10th December 2020 my mum was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, 17 days later on the 27th of December she died with my dad, 2 brothers, my sister and myself by her side.

Due to not being diagnosed until it was way to late, my mum and our family didn’t get to do or say the things we would of liked, this was because my mum was either in so much pain or on medication for the pain.

On the 1st August which would of been my mums birthday my husband Lloyd will be shaving all of my hair off to raise money to help the research into early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

A very low amount of people between 5 - 10% live past the 5 year point, due to pancreatic cancer being diagnosed at stage 4. I would like to help to change this.

My profile picture was taken 5 days before my mum died it all happened that fast.

So I’m asking you to help by sponsoring me to shave my hair off, any amount would help and would be greatly appreciated.

My donations could fund...

33 hours with a nurse on our Support Line

or

14 hours of early diagnosis research

My Updates

1 month to go

One month to go until my pony tail is given to the princess trust and the rest is shaven off.

Wig making

Just a little update I have just registered with the little princess trust

Before shaving my hair I will be cutting my pony tail off and send this  to the little princess trust.

So I’m not only supporting and easing money for pancreatic cancer UK the little princess trust which makes wigs will get my support to.

Keep on sponsoring me please every penny will be going to an amazing  charity.

I’m almost at my goal of £500 but I would love to smash it 💜

Thank you to my Sponsors
