After my grandma was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2017, my world fell apart. She was my world and the rock to our family, we was so excited to welcome my son in the March and the thought of her not being there broke me. Me and my grandma researched pancreatic cancer and we really couldn’t believe that it’s such a little chance of surviving. Fast forward and after the worse month of my life she sadly passed away 15th February 2017. Only 4 weeks before my son was due, as hard it was for me to say goodbye I understood how much pain she was in and all that was gone and she was finally able to rest.

For my 21st birthday this year my mom has organised a Caribbean themed fundraiser party. I’m asking everyone instead of birthday presents or cards, please make a donation to pancreatic cancer.
