Catherine and Jenny fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
We have decided to climb Kilimanjaro in June 2024 and in doing so hope to raise lots of money for pancreatic cancer. This will be in memory of John Ferris and Val Bird, aka best mate, best friend and soul sister. Both lost their lives at the age of 68 and tried so hard to continue living. Their strength will always be a true inspiration to live.
It is heart-breaking to watch people you love being diagnosed with any illness. However the lack of research and therefore treatments for pancreatic cancer is soul destroying to the patients, their family and friends. With this in mind we hope to raise much needed funds and also awareness around this deadly cancer. Early diagnosis is always key and without it treatment options are even less.
We will be funding ourselves so all money raised will go directly to the charity.
