I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month
We lost our amazing Dad, to this awful disease. It took him so quickly and in such a cruel, painful way. We think about him every day. He was the best Husband, Dad, Brother and Grampy.
We also lost my wonderful Nan many years ago the same cruel way. I want to support research to fight this disease in memory of them both. So any donation, no matter how small can really help.
I'm not a natural runner by any means, but have recently completed C25K. I wanted a challenge to keep my motivation through the winter. This seemed the perfect start! Dad played football and ran in his younger days. I felt it would be a perfect way to remember him, and fundraise for research to support people in the future. I aim to double the 24miles, to walk and run 48miles through November. However, my ultimate aim is to be active and complete as many miles as I possibly can!🏃♀️🐾🐾
Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. More than half of people die within three months of diagnosis.
Survival rates for other cancers have improved dramatically in recent years. But decades of underfunding mean we still don’t have the tests and treatments to tackle this disease. People with pancreatic cancer have been overlooked and ignored for far too long.
That’s why I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK and I'd really appreciate your support. Your donations will support vital, world-leading research, ensure specialist nurses are there to take more calls and fuel campaigns to drive positive change.
Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer.
