I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of my Dad.

In memory of my Dad I am raising money for pancreatic cancer UK. He was diagnosed in March after barely any symptoms that started in February. It was diagnosed as stage 4 and he was only given 6-12 months 😢. Four months after diagnosis this brutal cancer took him from us.

Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. More than half of people die within three months of diagnosis.

Survival rates for other cancers have improved dramatically in recent years. But decades of underfunding mean we still don’t have the tests and treatments to tackle this disease. People with pancreatic cancer have been overlooked and ignored for far too long.

That’s why I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK and I'd really appreciate your support. Your donations will support vital, world-leading research, ensure specialist nurses are there to take more calls and fuel campaigns to drive positive change.

Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer.

My donations could fund...

13

hours with a nurse on our support line

6

hours of early diagnosis research

End of the Month: Thankyou!

We have now reached the end of the month and the end of the challenge!! I want to thank everyone who has supported me and donated throughout the month :-) I very much appreciate each and everyone of you.

Day 27

1.3 miles completed!! That completes my 24 miles walked for the month of November!

Day 26

Another 0.5 mile done today. Less than a mile left to do yay!

Day 25

No dedicated walking over the weekend due to Seth’s birthday. Today I have made up for it with a 2.6 mile walk this morning. Only just over a mile left to do 🎉

Day 22

Nice walk around the local area this afternoon wrapped up warm. Another mile done 🎉

Day 21

After a few days off, I’ve done a 1.3 miles today. It has snowed by me and it was so pretty with the sun shining on the snow. Only 5 miles left 🎉 nearly there.

Day 17

Rainy weather today so a slow mile walk done on the walking pad at home.

Days 14-16

As I am over half way to my goal I have taken a few days off to give me legs a rest lol!
Thank you for all your support and donations so far.

Day 13

Work day on Day 12 so no walk that day.
Day 13 work gave me the day off to help with reaching my goal or at least getting a bit further into it. I took the opportunity by having a long walk around my local area. Another 4.35 miles completed 🎉

Day 11

Seth was in a remembrance memorial service this morning and I wanted to go see him. Instead of driving down I walked to get a couple more miles in and be able to see Seth.
11.5 miles to go.

Day 10

Completed 3 miles today on an outdoor walk around the area. Was nice to get out in the fresh air to do my walk.

I didn’t do an update for day 8 & 9, however I did do some walking those days too and updated the activity tracker.

10.5 miles done, 13.5 miles to go! Thankyou so much for those that have supported me and donated so far ❤️

Day 7

Another mile completed today. Was hoping it would be an outdoor walk today but was later home so completed my mile on the walking pad.
Fundraising goal was reached today so I have decided to up the goal by another £50. Hopefully I will meet that goal too.

Days 5 & 6

The last two days have been work days so only done 0.5 miles per day on the walking pad. Every little helps towards the goal!

Day 4

Seth had an inset day from school today so he joined me on my walk. 1.2 miles around Himley lake this morning.

Day 3

1.3 miles completed today. Had an outdoor walk today whilst listening to some music. Was nice to be out in the fresh air and see how much autumn is taking hold 🍂

Day 2

Day 2 completed! Another indoor walk on the treadmill today. 1 mile completed in 28 mins 🎉

22.5 miles to go!

Day 1

Day 1 complete 🎉
A short 0.5mile walk on the treadmill today due to returning from holiday and working through a mountain of washing. It’s a good start and thanks to those that have donated today. 23.5 miles to go!
