South Sponsorship Superheros

Challenge 24

We're fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Our lovely friend and colleague Karen has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

As a team we are doing this challenge to support her, to raise people's awareness of this cancer and also to raise some money towards research and support for people affected by pancreatic cancer.

"Early detection saves lives. However, the symptoms of pancreatic cancer are vague making it difficult for GPs to distinguish from other less serious conditions. As a result 80% of people with pancreatic cancer are diagnosed too late. Too late for treatment, too late to survive." (Pancreatic Cancer UK)

Each of our team will be walking 24 miles in November.
If you have a few pennies spare and would like to support us with our challenge and help us raise a little bit of money for this charity then please click on the link below.

Many thanks
Deanna, Agnes. Andy, Amy, Cath, Neil, Roger, Serena and Victoria.

Thank you to our Sponsors

Go Serena! This is close to my heart having lost my brother very cruelly in. 2019 to Pancreatic cancer. Miss him so much. Was 5 weeks from his ultra sound scan which highlighted lesions on his liver to him dying and we got biopsy results only 2 days after he died! This is a cruel cancer! Hope you’re friend is ok. Xxx
