We are fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month
Mine and Steve's challenge 24 is for every day in November to ultimately raise awareness of this awful illness in the hope people recognise symptoms earlier and hopefully raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK so they can continue the great work that they do.
Together me and Steve are going to make more time for each other because all though we work together having quality time just us is really important, something you realise when you lose someone you love suddenly and unexpectedly, losing my dad made us realise this so we are completing Challenge 24 in his memory to raise awareness to others and to take quality time for each other whilst trying to get more active and healthier as we get older lol
To do this during November we are both going to;
THIS IS IN ADDITION TO OUR OWN INDIVIDUAL USUAL GYM AND FITNESS CLASSES
1. Walk 24 miles throughout November separate to any walks whilst working.
2. Wear something purple every day or our pancreatic awareness badge and bringing this up in discussion with other people.
3. Do 24 sit ups, press ups or squats every morning and evening at home together.
4. Light up our home purple every day throughout November
We will map our am/pm exercises and screenshot this
Take a photo of our purple item or badge each day and share some of the conversations we have
Take a photo of our purple home to show how it looks every evening.
Screenshot our map walk each time with a photo of us on the walk.
Each day we will upload the above in a post to share what we have done 💜
Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. More than half of people die within three months of diagnosis.
Survival rates for other cancers have improved dramatically in recent years. But decades of underfunding mean we still don’t have the tests and treatments to tackle this disease. People with pancreatic cancer have been overlooked and ignored for far too long.
That’s why I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK and I'd really appreciate your support. Your donations will support vital, world-leading research, ensure specialist nurses are there to take more calls and fuel campaigns to drive positive change.
Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer.
My donations could fund...

2
hours with a nurse on our support line

1
hours of early diagnosis research

On the 28th November we completed our last walk totalling 24.77 miles 💜
Day 17 update
Wow we have been busy since our last update ensuring we've done our exercises twice a day, continued to light up our home purple, maintain Lynsey's purple hair and wear our t-shirts or purple tops and pancreatic awareness stickers.
Day 8

Day 7

Day 6

Day 5

Day 4
Another really good day.
We have added Pancreatic stickers to both of our phone cases as we always have our phones on us so now always have something purple on us separate to the t-shirts and badge 💜
We have lit our front room purple again and Steve completed his press ups and Lynsey did squats today.
Lynsey went out this evening and people commented on her hair which prompted a conversation raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer so this definitely made it a brilliant fourth day 💜

Today was really good.
We both wore our Pancreatic Cancer t-shirts and went on our 1st walk towards our 24 miles 💜
We completed 2.39 miles which is great considering we never go on walks together normally except whilst working which is very different. And Steve doesn't like walking so this was a brilliant 1st walk enjoying been out together 💕
We have lit our front room purple again and Steve completed his press ups and Lynsey did squats today.
A brilliant third day 💜

We have lit our front room purple again
Lynsey has included a photo doing her sit ups with her purple hair, and Steve doing his press ups in his t-shirt.
