We are fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
ABOUT US
Following on from our fundraising event 'Walk for Pia' that took place in 2022, we have decided to take on a new challenge for Pancreatic Cancer UK. We are walking 150 miles from Llansteffan to Barry in the South of Wales to honour Pia's life and raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK. The walk will take place from 27th August to 7th September 2025 (which is a day before the 4th anniversary of Pia's death). The walk will take place in South Wales and we will stop off at pubs at the end of every day that meant a lot to Pia and Simon growing up.
We want to raise awareness of a terrible disease, raise funds for important research into early detection and improving treatments. In parallel, we want to make Pia proud of her friends and family.
The Walk
The walk is taking place across stunning countryside and beaches in South Wales. The area means a lot to Pia and Simon as they grew up and went to university along places on the route. They also spent a lot of time in a number of the pubs that we will be stopping at!
We will be finishing the walk in Barry Island again, and for those of you who followed the 'Walk for Pia', you will know that Pia was brought up there and her family owned the kiosk throughout her teenage years.
